Earning money from a website.
The best way to earn a reliable income from the internet is to have a website. However, there are various different ways of making your website earn you money.
Affiliate marketing.
Some companies will pay you if you direct customers from your website to theirs, and the customers buy a product. The best example of this is the amazon associates programme, which allows you to put links to amazon in your website, and when someone buys a product through visiting that link, then you will earn a % commission (with amazon its about 5-10%)
Advertising
Companies will also pay you to advertise for them on your site. The best way to do this is to join a programme called google adsense. They allow you to put links on your web pages. The adverts are then automatically selected by google in order to fit the context of your page. For example, if your website was about gardening, then the adverts might be for florists, and so would be related to the people viewing your site.
If a viewer then clicks one of these links, google will then pay you a small sum, typically around 50 cents. Of course, to make serious money from this, you really need to try and increase your traffic (people visiting your website)
I found that the links blow are quite good at generating traffic.
